Appointed to the Port Authority Police Department in 2007. As a Police Officer, Matt was assigned to the NLIA Command and PATH Command, prior to his promotion to Detective in 2014. As a Detective, Matt was assigned to the Southern Zone and Personnel, Property, and Security Investigation Unit within the Criminal Investigation Bureau before his promotion to Sergeant in 2016. During his time as a Patrol Sergeant, Matt was assigned both to the Port Authority Bus Terminal Command and PATH Command before being promoted to Lieutenant in February of 2019. As a Lieutenant, Matt has been assigned to the George Washington Bridge Command and is currently assigned to the Newark Liberty International Airport Command as a Tour Commander.

In 2021, Matt was elected to the Executive Board as a Trustee, and as of March 2022 appointed to the position of Chairman of the Trustees.

Matt, currently lives in Union County, NJ with his wife and two children.
